How to setup Static Routes on Huawei Echolife Router

Introduction

This article will explain how to setup Static Routes on your Huawei Echolife Router.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open your web browser and enter the following into your address bar: 192.168.2.1 OR 192.168.1.1 OR 192.168.0.1.

    If you are having issues getting to your router sign in page please read this guide for more help.

  2. Type the username and password in the login page. The default username and password are:
    Username: admin Password: password
  3. Click on Route and select Static Route Configuration
  4. Click on New then enter the following values on the corresponding fields below:

    Destination Network Address: 8.8.8.8
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255 or 255.255.255.0
    Gateway IP: Your router's IP address (what you used in step 1)
    WAN Name or Interface: LAN or LAN & Wireless
    Click Apply to save the changes.
  5. Click on New then enter the following values on the corresponding fields below for the second static route:

    Destination Network Address: 8.8.4.4
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255 or 255.255.255.0
    Gateway IP: Your router's IP address (what you used in step 1)
    WAN Name or Interface: LAN or LAN & Wireless
    Click Apply to save the changes.
