How to setup Static Routes on 2Wire Router

This article explains how to setup Static Routes on your 2Wire Router.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. First you will need to setup Blockless Smart DNS on your router. If you have not done so yet please see this guide.
  2. After setting the DNS, enter your router Management and Diagnostic Console by clicking on this link.

    If this link did not work please read this guide.

  3. Click on Static Routes.
  4. Fill in the following to add a Static Route for Google's first DNS address:

    Destination IP Address: 8.8.8.8
    IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
    Gateway IP Address: (Your routers IP address) 
  5. Click on Add.
  6. Repeat the steps to add the Static Route for Google's second DNS address:
    Destination IP Address: 8.8.8.8
    IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255
    Gateway IP Address: (Your routers IP address)
  7. Click on Add.
  8. Make sure all changes are saved.
  9. Once the static routes are configured, restart your router and all devices you wish to use.
